Flight Deck

This is your Captain speaking from the Flight Deck. Prepare yourself for takeoff to new worlds of exciting adventure, a trip to a distant solar system. This flight to the stars is not accomplished by the old 20th Century mode of space propulsion which utilized rockets to propel mass against gravity and inertia. Electrogravitational Engineering has developed our new ElectroSpace Craft to ride the natural waves of space at superluminal speeds. You need not buckle up for this flight as you will feel no inertial forces when we begin our acceleration past the major planets. The artificial gravity onboard will allow you to stand up and walk around the spatial hallways, enjoy a meal in our galley, play games on the entertainment deck, watch a movie in our theater, or gaze at the wonders of the universe from our observation lounge. We urge all of you to take advantage of our library and read the many wonderful scientific and engineering articles and books you will find there. Relax and enjoy the flight. Our first stop will be Alpha Centauri. We should be there in three days.
